How does BrainGuard work?
Select apps you want to guard. When you try to open them, BrainGuard prompts you to choose between a guided breathing session or a walking challenge. After completing either, you get 15 minutes of access before the apps are guarded again.
How long are the sessions?
Breathe Mode: Sessions start at 60 seconds and can be customized from 60 seconds to 10 minutes. Walk Mode: Start at 60 steps with 30-step increments. Hard Core Mode progressively increases requirements with each unlock (30 seconds or 30 steps per unlock).
Can I skip the session?
Yes, you can tap the back button to exit. However, your apps will remain guarded until you complete a full session. The choice is yours—breathe, walk, or take a break from the app entirely.
Does BrainGuard require a subscription?
Yes, BrainGuard requires a subscription to access app blocking features. We offer monthly and yearly plans, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly subscription. You can breathe or walk anytime without a subscription.
What devices are supported?
BrainGuard is currently available for iOS devices running iOS 16 or later. This includes iPhone and iPad. The app uses Apple's Screen Time API to provide secure app blocking.
Can I guard websites too?
Yes! BrainGuard lets you guard apps, entire app categories, and specific websites. Note that website blocking only works in Safari browser. This gives you complete control over your digital distractions across all app usage and Safari browsing.
